Bird nests and eggs are a hot decorative item right now, and with Spring fast approaching, what’s more symbolic of Spring than pretty little bird eggs? Today I am sharing 2 vintage egg prints circa 1875 from F.O. Morris.
You may have seen these beauties – or pieces of the collection – in reproduction prints. Morris painstakingly recorded a large variety of birds nests and eggs in visual format for reference materials and historic record. I think the colors used are perfect for today’s farmhouse decor trends.
I could see these used as
- a pair or matted prints
- transferred or decoupaged on a lovely wooden tray
- printed on tea towels
The possibilities are limitless. They are saved in high resolution so you can resize as needed.
