Happy New Year everyone! Have you managed to get those holiday decorations down yet? I put that task off as long as I could take it. Why do we dread it so, yet it takes about 1/3 as much time to take down is it does to put up. Maybe it’s the thought if it looking bare when it’s done… or it may be the glitter and pine needle mess everywhere.
While we’re cleaning up and refreshing our homes, I wanted to share a little coupon I got today with my readers. If you’ve never shopped on One King’s Lane, then you don’t know what you are missing. Really great home decor, furniture, bedding and even vintage and estate finds for up to 85% off retail that’s what. Whenever I am looking for something unique, it’s one of the first places I check. So, here’s a $15 credit just for joining their site!
Something turned on in my head this week, and my creative juices are flowing again with fresh ideas and goals for 2016. One is building up our Vintage Wednesday Link-up Party and hopefully encouraging more vintage fans to share their finds and fun projects. Growth takes time, but please share this with your friends so we can all get more awesome ideas and visit other great blogs.
For those that have been featured in today’s post, be sure to scroll down and snag my “I was featured” button to post back on your own blog. At the end of this post, you will also find the NEXT link-up party that starts TODAY and that I will be leaving open through next Monday.
Now, for a few of my favorite links for last week’s party…
The glamorous New Year’s Eve Glamorama table setting that A Graceful Table shared has me wishing I had been on the invite list. I loved the mix of rustic woodland themed accents with the flashes of bronze, silver and gold, crystal and rhinestones. I bet her guests never got up from the table! This look would also be beautiful for a birthday or couple’s engagement party. Check out the full presentation…
This next little trick is a Pinterest favorite, and if you love the distressed look you’ll want to bookmark this hack right now. White Lace Cottage has a fabulous post on How to Distress Furniture with Vinegar. It’s seriously the easiest method I have seen next to sanding, and without the DUST! Don’t take my word for it though, see her tutorial here:
This adorable chair upcycle by Organized Clutter was an instant hit in my book. I may have told you I have a rather obsessive number of unique chairs scattered around my home, but unfortunately none of them are broken right now so i can whip up this handy little gem. Guess I’ll just have to hit the Guild Shop up again soon! Anyway, this Repurposed Chairback Photo Holder is brilliant. And I want to make one right now…
